Our Wonderful Volunteers
The services Women’s Housing Limited are able to provide are strenghtened by our volunteers
One of our great volunteers is Helene Levin. Helene is a fully qualified counsellor and is highly skilled at building rapport and trust with our clients.Helene is currently working with the Women’s Housing Limited tenants living at Brighton Rooming House. She visits tenants weekly working one-on-one or in groups incorporating mindfulness meditation. Helene empowers the women and gives them a voice. She organises focus groups on different topics such as conflict management and good neighbour policies.
“I love working as a counsellor…I want to make a difference to the world I live in”
Helene works closely with the Women’s Housing Limited team to organise group activities. Currently she is working on encouraging the ladies to work on their garden area. Planting and taking responsibility for the garden.
“My goal is to make a difference in these ladies lives and I aim to make them feel safe and secure.”
