Important COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 restrictions as they stand today, 18 February 2021.  Key points: There are no restrictions on leaving home, no time limit, end of the four reasons to leave home and removal of the 5km zone. Face masks must be carried at all times and are mandatory when inside and outdoors when unable to physical distance. 5 visitors can visit a home in a day. 20 people can gather outdoors from any number of households. Students can returns to school. 50% cap on number of people in the workplace. Restaurants and retail can reopen. Community facilities, entertainment venues and all other public places can reopen with restrictions on crowd sizes. Remember to wash hands regularly, practice respiratory hygiene, maintain social distance, if you have symptoms get tested and most importantly if you are unwell stay home. COVID-19 Circuit Breaker Action

From 11:59pm Friday 12 February restrictions across Victoria have changed.  Changes have been introduced to slow the spread of COVID-19 by reducing the number of people leaving their homes and moving around Victoria. This means that you can only leave your home for one of the following four reasons: shopping for essential goods and services; care and caregiving; exercise; and essential work.  Exercise and shopping limited to 5km from home. Facemasks are mandatory indoors and outdoors whenever you leave home. If you can work from home you must work from home. No visitors at your home. No public gatherings.  Two people may gather for exercise together. Remote learning enforced for all students except children of permitted workers. All non essential retail to close. Travel restrictions in place for interstate travel or arrivals. Important COVID-19 Update

As you may be aware the Victorian Government issued a notice last night that a positive case of COVID-19 has been identified. As a result a number of exposure sites have also been identified with more likely to be added. Click here to see a full up-to-date list. If you've been to any of these locations, you need to get tested and isolate at home for 14 days. Additional restrictions come into effect from 4 February 2021.  Key points: Masks will again be mandatory indoors – in shops, in workplaces, anywhere this virus has a greater potential to spread.  You must always carry a face mask with you when you leave home.  Private gathering limits will also be reduce to 15. This means a maximum of 15 guests in your home.  Up to 100 people can meet outdoors in a public place. There is no limit on the number of households those people come from.  The scheduled increase to the number of people working in offices has been paused, the current cap of 50% will remain in place.  Additional testing sites and Rapid Response Team sites will be operational in the city's south-east from 4 February and drive through sites will have extra lanes.  If you have symptoms – even if you've been nowhere near an exposure site – get tested. Christmas Cheer!

Normally at this time of year the office is a hive of activity wrapping and distributing donations for our tenants.  But COVID-19 stopped everything… even Christmas. Never fear the elves at Women’s Housing Ltd were not to be stopped. Thanks to TWO VERY GENEROUS donations Christmas visited the children in our properties.  This week our wonderful staff hand delivered 170 $100 gift cards to all the children housed by Women’s Housing Ltd. To all a brilliant and safe Christmas!!

Key points: Stay safe, no restrictions on reasons to leave the house or distance.  You must carry a face mask with you when you leave home Workplaces currently working from home can return for up to 25% of their workforce per site.  Standard workplace requirements including density limits continue to apply Face masks are mandatory on public transport, while in taxis or ride share vehicles, or when going to large retail venues, including shopping centres, supermarkets and department stores.  It is mandatory to carry masks at all times and strongly recommended to wear when unable to keep 1.5 metres distance from other people Up to 100 people may gather outdoors from any number of households Each day, a household can receive up to 30 visitors per day. Face masks and a record of visitors are advised Victorians who have recently visited or are currently in Greater Sydney and the Central Coast, other than those in the Northern Beaches area, will be given until 11:59 Monday 21 December to return home For more information click here.
