Does Women’s Housing Ltd assist with bond?

No Women’s Housing Ltd does not assist with bond. To apply for the Office of Housing Bond Loan go to the Bond Loan Application Form.

What can Women’s Housing Ltd assist with?

Women’s Housing Ltd can assist with:
– rent in advance;
– rental arrears;
– discussing housing options; and
– advocating on your behalf.
In some situations Women’s Housing Ltd can assist with crisis accommodation and removal costs.

When do Women’s Housing Ltd help with my rent in arrears?

If you are in a private rental you must be 14 days behind in your rent.
If you are in a private rooming house you must be 7 days in arrears.
Women’s Housing Ltd cannot assist you if you are in an Office of Housing, community housing or transitional housing property.

How can Women’s Housing Ltd help with my rent in advance?

Women’s Housing Ltd can assist with rent in advance if you:
– have secured a new property;
– are on the lease agreement; and
– the rent is affordable (no more than 55% of your household income).The property can be through a real estate agent or private landlord, it can be a private rooming house or a community housing property.
Women’s Housing Ltd cannot assist if you are moving into an Office of Housing or transitional housing property.

How often can Women’s Housing Ltd help with funding?

Women’s Housing Ltd can provide assistance once every 12 months.

How long does the process take?

If Women’s Housing Ltd receives all the documentation the process will take about 7 days.

What does affordable mean?

Women’s Housing Ltd follows the Office of Housing Affordability Guidelines to determine affordability. The Guidelines state that your rent cannot exceed 55% of your income.

How can I apply for funding?

Funding is available for distribution on the first working day of each week. Clients are to call Women’s Housing Ltd at 9am on the first working day of each week (i.e Monday). All callers are listed on a client list and the Women’s Services Officer return the calls in order of listing. At the end of the assessment the Officer will ask for supporting documents. After documents are received and reviewed the Officer will contact the client.

How much can Women’s Housing Ltd assist with?

There is no set amount. Each client is assessed on an individual basis. The amount of funding we can assist with may be up to 1 weeks rent.

Are all women eligible for funding?

No, only single women or women in same sex relationships are eligible.

Can Women’s Housing Ltd assist with utilities or food vouchers?
