Due to Victoria hitting the 70% first dose vaccination target some easing of restrictions will take place from 11.59pm Friday, 17 September 2021. In metropolitan Melbourne and some parts of Victoria the following restrictions apply:
Stay home unless shopping for essential goods, authorised work, care or caregiving, to get vaccinated, to exercise and for outdoor social interaction for up to four hours.
Social Interaction means one person may meet another person from another household for a picnic, walk or other outdoor activity. Additionally up to five fully vaccinated adults from two households can gather outdoors.
Stay within 15km radius of your home.
Curfew remains 9pm and 5am.
Masks continue to be mandatory for those aged 12 and over and must be worn indoors (except in your own home) and outdoors at all times. The Victorian Government recommend primary school age children wear facemasks indoors and outdoors.
Private gatherings are not permitted. Single person bubbles and intimate partner visits are allowed.
If you can work from home, you must work from home.
Childcare and Kinder remain closed and schools will continue remote learning.
Shopping for essential items is limited to one person per day, per household.
Cafes and restaurants will be able to offer take-away.
